Back by popular demand, ‘Network & Connect’ is here for a fourth edition. If you think you might be interested in a career with Airbus CyberSecurity, join us on 25th May 2021 at 5pm CET.

Developing a passion for cyber security

Lloyd Rush, Head of Service Operations

With more than 35 years of cyber security experience, Lloyd has seen it all. He’ll take you on a journey that starts at our sector’s inception – from defensive monitoring to the importance of Managed Security Services today.

Identifying cyber-threats in real time:  why do we need a Security Operations Centre (SOC)?

Thibault Coullet, SOC Security Analyst

Protecting against cyber-attacks is currently the biggest challenge facing organisations. In response, many are setting up Security Operations Centres to equip themselves with the capabilities needed to detect the most sophisticated threats. Thibault’s role is to define detection scenarios – also called use cases – and build detection rules, which help analysts detect possible threats and alert the SOC. Learn how he does this, and find out what it takes to become a successful SOC analyst.

Handling security alerts: a closer look at the security analysis team

Matthias Doetterl, Team Lead Security Analysis

With a love of both technical detail and collaboration, Matthias started his career as a cyber security analyst and incident responder/digital forensics analyst. Now a team lead, he’ll explain how security alerts help SOCs to detect incoming threats. Matthias will also explain popular detection scenarios, including Vulnerability Assessment, Threat Hunting, Anomaly Detection and Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI).
