Digital transformation in the rail sector has led to a rapid uptake in IT and IoT technologies. This enables much greater connectivity for Industrial Control Systems, but at the same time leaves rail operators more vulnerable to cyber-attacks.
We conducted a risk assessment on a real-world use case scenario derived from a rail operator. This involved several vulnerability identification techniques, including penetrating testing and threat modelling.
The risk assessment found that several systems were open for attack, ultimately affecting the safety, functionality and confidentiality of these systems. Download this whitepaper to find out more about what we found and the countermeasures that can be taken to prevent future attacks.
